Home care Occupational Therapy

We help our seniors to gain independence so they can continue to do the things they love in their home. We specialise in a number of services including:

  1. Assess Home Environments: We evaluate the client's home to identify safety concerns and recommend modifications to make it more accessible.

  2. Assistive Technology: We assess the need for and recommend assistive devices and technologies that can aid independence and quality of life including recliner chairs, beds, bathroom equipment, mattresses and mobility aids.

  3. Home modifications: We help with a number of home mods including shower, kitchen and bathroom modifications, grab rails, ramps and stairlifts.

  4. Personalised Care Plans: We develop customised care plans based on the individual's needs, goals, and specific challenges.

  5. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): We help clients improve their ability to perform daily tasks like dressing, bathing, cooking, and mobility.

  6. Mobility and Falls Prevention: We work with our physio team to enhance mobility, balance, and strength to prevent falls and improve overall safety.

What are the steps to get Home Care Occupational Therapy?

  • Home care package eligibility

    Assessed through the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) based on age, care needs, & the supports you may need to help you to stay independent in your home.

  • Home care package approved

    Once the home care package is approved, you can engage a home care provider that can help you get the help you need.

  • Home care provider assessment

    The home care provider can coordinate and organise supports for you based on your needs. This includes Occupational Therapy.

  • Occupational Therapist comes to you

    Once we get approval from the home care company, our friendly OT’s will work with you to get the best health results and achieve goals that are meaningful to you.
